What is a Worldview?
It is how we interpret the world around us. We make certain presuppositions/ assumptions (the starting points) which affects how we interpret the world. Our values and priorities result from the worldview we adhere to. There are serious consequences for the worldview a society adopts. A case in point: Stalin's and Hitler's worldview was atheism or secular humanism. The Swastika is a Hindu symbol.
What is the definition of truth?
When we say that a statement is "true", we mean that it corresponds to a reality that does in fact exist independently of our beliefs. This is the normally accepted definition; however, the "religious pluralists" will try to change the definition of truth. It is also known as the "Correspondence Theory" of truth.
What is a Valid Worldview?
A valid worldview should consist of the following:
- Consistent with each other as well as being consistent with their presuppositions.
- It should be coherent and cohesive.
- Not self-refuting and self-destructive.
- In full accord with the "Law of Contradiction".
- It is verifiable and does, in fact, correspond with what is there.
- Is it livable? Most people cannot live what they believe.
An Example of an Invalid Worldview being promoted in the United States
There has been a concerted effort by atheists and other enemies of the United Sates to secularize America—Madalyn O’Hair, who led a successful drive to remove prayer and Bible reading from the schools in 1962, was an atheist and belonged to various leftist groups which served as fronts for the Communist party. She chaired the Baltimore chapter of the Communist organization, Fair Play for Cuba and cultivated many relationships with pro-Marxist individuals and groups. The ultimate goal of the anti-theists is to proclaim their unbelief in God and institute totalitarian socialism. Many atheists will admit they are Communists, leftists, or socialists, who have a political commitment to Marx and Hegel. Materialism (anything that is not material does not exist; there is no soul or spirit essence in man and thus no God) empiricism (knowledge is restricted to those objects that can be perceived by our senses; Democratis (460-360 B.C) was the “Father of Materialism”—everything is made of atoms was his creed) came to define atheism during the Renaissance. Out of materialism came Nazism on the right and Marxism on the left. Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900) taught that the moral attributes of God; that is, mercy, love and kindness were the source of all decadent “slave ethics”—he called greed and violence “good” and kindness and mercy “evil.” Nietzsche was also an evolutionist who believed in breeding a new master race and the sterilization of misfits—Hitler was an adherent to Nietzsche. Stalin was also an atheist who committed genocide against the Ukrainians—20 million murdered. Many anti-theists want to eliminate or destroy the following: 1. private property; 2. the nuclear family; and 3. religion. The State is supreme.

An example of invalid worldview presented by a Hunterdon Central High School teacher
A student named Jason—who graduated Hunterdon Central High School located in Flemington, New Jersey in 2002—told/alleged to me the following incident:
He disagreed with the teacher and class over gay adoption. He stated that it was morally wrong for homosexuals to adopt children—there should be a mother and father as stated in the Bible (Genesis 2:24; Leviticus 18:22; Matthew 19:4-6; & Romans 1:26-27). The whole class started shouting at him. (What happened to tolerance?) The teacher stated he was wrong and that most people agree with him (the teacher) as his defense to what is right and wrong. The teacher committed the fallacy called argumentum ad populum, in which something is considered true just because many people agree to it. He would not be able to say that Hitler was morally wrong! Moral relativism is self-refuting.
Many high schools in the United States are actively promoting the homosexual lifestyle (with official clubs in the school’s that sponsor GLSEN’s Day of Silence every year and supported by teachers and faculty members) under the guise of tolerance. To learn the truth about the movement and what students can do to counter the promotion of the homosexual agenda and express an opposing viewpoint granted under the 1st Amendment, see the “Militant Lifestyles” link on this website and the following websites below:
